Vaal Entertainment Facility and Venue
Stonehaven is owned by Rex and Rosemary Anderson and is the Vaal River’s social centre, a natural interface between locals and visitors. Here you will find the largest alfresco Garden Restaurant in South Africa. You will enjoy being greeted by the relaxed and charming ambience as you meander through Stonehaven’s cobbled pathways that lead you through the quaint herb garden, over 1000 rose bushes and the mature gardens and lawns that sweep down to the Vaal River. You have a variety of dining options at Stonehaven on Vaal. The Dining Terrace provides an attractive spot for summer meals overlooking the river as does the garden and lawns where you can enjoy dining under a gazebo. Dining around the swimming pool while your children enjoy a dip is also a perfect way of enjoying relaxed family dining. The Wine Cellar and River Pub have a friendly atmosphere which makes the conversation flow naturally and easily. You will enjoy experiencing winter in the sanctuary of Stonehaven’s cosy River Pub with its roaring and crackling fireplaces enhanced by Stonehaven’s many antiques and nautical ornaments and memorabilia. Stonehaven‘s fare is hearty in quantity and freshly prepared from local produce. Menus range from light pub meals to a more serious restaurant menu with a mix of classic and modern dishes. Homemade puddings are a particular treat at Stonehaven.
Besides the 10 acres of beautifully tendered gardens, there is the busy Stonehaven Harbour with a selection of Cruisers to choose from for your sized function – from 2 to 200. Full onboard dining is catered for from breakfasts, brunches, braais, spits, smorgasbords, picnics, buffets, seafood extravaganzas and cocktail snacks. Stonehaven also hosts a regular Sunday Cruising Buffet every Sunday aboard one of the luxurious cruisers - “The Spirit of Jen”.

Birthday Celebrations on land or aboard a Cruiser
Celebrate your 21st birthday party at Stonehaven right on the banks of the Vaal River or aboard one of Stonehaven’s Cruisers for something really different. You will experience a unique celebration – a 21st with a difference! Stonehaven also hosts great big “0”s, 20's, 30’s, 40’s, 50’s, 60’s, 70’s, 80’s, 90’s and 100’s with something different to the usual birthday celebrations.
Stork Parties and Kitchen Teas
Stonehaven adds lots of fun and laughter to these special celebrations with a great deal of attention spent on every detail. These charming occasions can either be hosted in the garden, rose garden, on the lawns, in a private venue, on the banks of the Vaal River or aboard one of the Cruisers.
Weddings Venues
Stonehaven has several venue options as well as the opportunity of hosting your Wedding aboard one of Stonehaven’s luxurious Cruisers. Stonehaven boasts the largest and most luxurious Cruiser on the Vaal River called “The Spirit of Jen”. There is also a charming Garden Chapel and a perfect setting for magnificent wedding photographs. You could also have a dramatic arrival to your wedding, by arriving by Cruiser with a Scottish Piper leading.

Children’s Parties
Stonehaven on Vaal has the perfect setting for safe Children's Parties. Children have the choice of over a dozen different themes to choose from, including:- Hannah Montana, High School Musical … all the way down to Barney. There is lots of fun to have on the Tree House, Trampoline, Jumping Castle, Slip Slide, Swimming Pool, Beach with buckets and Spades and Dr. Doolittle’s Animal Farm. Or you could treat the children to a Boat Cruise for something really special.
Corporate Conferences
Stonehaven on Vaal has six land conference venues available besides the option of hosting your conference aboard one of the Cruisers. Or alternatively enjoy a combination of both, where you can host the conference on land and then enjoy the luncheon aboard one of the Cruisers… a Conference with a difference! The Cruisers as well as the land Venues have conference facilities including proximas, ADSL or wireless, video, DVD, projectors, etc. City delegates really appreciate the feeling of some of Stonehaven’s open Conference rooms – something different, right on the banks of the Vaal River.
Corporate Team building
Stonehaven has a very good reputation for Corporate Team Building – team building which works well, is not “over-the-top”, appeals to everyone and is very well priced. The day can be made even more special by treating everyone to a luncheon cruise or a “chill-out” cruise after all the activities of the day. Packages can be tailored to suit different needs, from one-hour Team Building breaks within a formal Conference - to full day Team Building packages.
Stonehaven will decide from your brief, which team building ideas and games would be most effective for your particular group. Not all team building games are appropriate for every group and your brief will assist Stonehaven in the assessment. If you want some heavy duty Equipment for your corporate team building event, different to the Standard team building games … things like Human Fooze Ball, Four Wheeling, Paint Ball or Water Sports, these can be incorporated too.
